2019 Urbana Arts Grant: 50+ Reasons to LOVE Art
In 2018, I wrote a proposal to fund a project that would provide painting/drawing lessons to community members who were 50+. The grant paid for the art supplies.for painting lessons to older adults at the Douglas Annex in Champaign and Clark-Lindsey in Urbana, three colored pencil drawing workshops for older adults at a local library in Urbana, and three painting lessons working with Alzheimer's patients in Urbana at Amber Glenn. Here is a sample of our finished works of art!

2018 Urbana Arts Grant: Painting with Patients at Amber Glen Alzheimer's Special Care Center
In 2017, I wrote a proposal to receive grant money to fund a project very dear to my heart. I wanted to work with patients at Amber Glen Alzheimer's Center, provide art supplies, and work with them to create a seasonal painting. During the Saturdays in October 2018, my assistant and I traveled to Amber Glen with our small box of canvas and paint supplies and worked with a small group of 5 artists. There was a seasonal image selected for our painting inspiration. Every week was a new adventure.
